Well, what can we say about 2021? We have learned to adapt to life with Covid and the variations including Delta and now Omicron. This time last year we had all hoped to spend the Xmas holidays with the freedom to go and do whatever we like. For us, this means another Xmas we that will not be able to get over to Cyprus to enjoy some winter sunshine and have some quality family time after a very eventful year including a re-location from Stevenage to Grantham where we are thoroughly enjoying our new home and the mix of bustling town life with the beautiful rural countryside, river walks, wildlife and open spaces. Literally outside our front door, we have kingfishers, otters, egrets, herons, owls and deer so from a well-being point of view the move ticked a lot of boxes for us.
As always we stay positive and optimistic as always that by this time next year we will get back on track with more of a “normal” life. We do not need any reminders that the single most important thing in life is our health and well being so we decided to “go for it” this year and make lots of positive changes to our lifestyle – and we are very glad we made the leap!
From a business perspective, we have always been prepared for scenarios where face to face meetings aren’t possible and have adapted our business much like thousands of others to minimise service interruption during the pandemic. The very nature of our online service range means that we can continue to offer our customers the highest levels of support and systems management through Zoom, Teams, What’s App and other video and phone meeting apps and software to communicate with clients all over the world.
As a family business we are committed to supporting our local businesses and local initiatives and enterprises and will continue to offer free advice to any business in or out of the area to get back on track or change their online businesses processes, whether it’s an online shop, online training, cloud-based customer relationship management systems, websites for schools data security and bespoke databases for customised reports and so forth.
We have been very busy in 2021 with new projects and we look forward to launching them in 2022! We have a new website for IceStar Media due for launch very shortly so we are also very excited about releasing the latest “reboot” that we have been working on.
So another 12 months have passed and it looks like we have another bumpy few months ahead of us BUT we have come this far so we will carry on with our positive attitude to deal with whatever is thrown at us next! Right now we would simply like to take this opportunity to wish all of our customers and work colleagues and friends whom we have worked with in 2021 a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, one filled with optimism and hope for 2022, and above all good health to everyone. Enjoy those mince pies and overindulging on Xmas goodies over the next few weeks as we all deserve a treat after another challenging year! But let us also take the time to get out for a walk, run, bike run or whatever gets our heart pumping to boost our immune systems and keep ourselves as fit and healthy as we can – not just for our physical health but for our mental wellbeing too. We look forward to working with you all in 2022 and wish you a new year filled with brighter days…that are coming!
HAPPY XMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM TEAM ICESTAR! AKA Seran and Mark
