IceStar Media was formed in 2002 by Seran Bond; whose career path started in database marketing and progressed into website project management positions for companies including Pearson Education, City of London based Ovum IT and Telecoms Consulting and The Open University.
IceStar Media is a reputable and professional family run business that provides website design and management, bespoke database development, IT consultancy and website development and management services for primary and secondary schools, and focuses on quality, innovation and customer service.

Seran graduated from City University, London, with a BSc. (Hons) degree in Management and Systems in 1996, specialising in Marketing Communications and Strategy and European Business Culture. After graduating Seran joined Pearson Education as a Database Executive and her career rapidly expanded into the fields of website design and web development and content management.
After working in the City of London for an IT and Telecoms consultancy as a Web Content Manager and then as an IT Project Manager for The Open University, Seran setup the business in 2002 and today IceStar Media Ltd. serves a diverse range of businesses from many different industry sectors.
Seran is very proud of the reputation IceStar Media has gained over the years and she has over 22 years of expertise in the design and delivery of database and web-based business systems, web content management and project management. Seran is extremely passionate about delivering quality customer service and IT solutions to IceStar Media’s clients and is equally driven when it comes to injecting her creativity and enthusiasm for success into every project, irrelevant of size or value.
Seran is also the proud mum of an amazing 10-year-old, has attained a professional certification from Capel Manor College in the foundation level Principles of Garden Design, loves ancient history, sport, is a big fan of good food, and no matter what the weather throws at her will get her trainers on and go for a run around the local woods and lakes and thoroughly enjoys motivating people to get active and take care of their health.

As a Technical Director of IceStar Media, Mark has designed, developed and project managed a diverse portfolio of business-critical technology solutions for high profile clients from a wide range of public and private industry sectors. Mark has applied over 24 years of IT expertise to work with clients to develop and implement bespoke database systems, eCommerce and stock control applications and custom-built technology solutions for clients with bespoke business requirements.
Mark is highly experienced in Magento, WordPress and WooCommerce eCommerce system installations and development. Mark has also provided IT consultancy and project management services to several large UK organisations.
Mark graduated from Essex University with a BSc. (Hons) degree in Computer Science in 1995, has set-up and managed an IT help desk system for The Open University library and has since attained professional qualifications in Solaris administration and Crystal Reports.

At IceStar Media we are also very passionate about “giving back” by helping to support local causes and initiatives. Not long after IceStar Media was first formed in 2002 we volunteered our time and services to manage and update a series of websites for a global female inventors and innovators network until they secured the funding they had applied for. We also managed the stand and represented the network at an invention show in London for 3 days in support of women inventors and innovators worldwide.
For many years we supported Shine Charity (formerly known as the Association for Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus – ASBAH), a community of 75,000 individuals, families, friends, and professionals, sharing achievements, challenges and information on living with hydrocephalus, and/or spina bifida, and related issues.
In 2010 we worked alongside teams from the Hertfordshire Chamber of Commerce, GlaxoSmithKline, the Highways Agency, and Hertfordshire County Council on a sustainable travel website. The site is committed to making journeys to Gunnels Wood in Stevenage as easy and hassle-free as possible. It provides visitors with everything they need to know about changing how they travel to work to make it cheaper, healthier and less stressful, as well as less polluting for the environment. The site offers members benefits such as discounted rail travel, bikes, etc. We volunteered our time to work on this project by building the first phase of the website that was launched in 2010 and attending steering groups to discuss the future direction and vision of the initiative. We are still acting members on the steering group.
We frequently volunteer our time or offer reduced rates to a London-based social enterprise that encourages, motivates and inspires black boys and young black men to realise their potential and make viable transitions into adult life.
We have also set-up, managed and supported a community crowdfunding campaign driven by social media to raise over £5400.00 in 30 days for a local cause.
